Valve announces Steam OS | Linux Gaming Gets Serious

Steam OS

Nothing could’ve been better than this , and when we heard this news it was really a WOW for us atleast (still trying to digest it). Breaking the windows monopoly in serious hardcore gaming, with backing of AAA Game Developers (more the ‘A’s , better it is) , Steam has announced its own OS ,the Steam OS.What we are still expecting is a another news from Steam to come up with their own flagship hardware or support from some another major device manufacturer for Steam OS.

According to Valve this OS will be free for all , targeting primarily your Living room.Other than this expect a Google Play Store or iTunes like services given through Steam platform to serve you TV, Movies , Songs and more. Not to mention that steam has recently changed its policy on Family Sharing allowing more convenience for Friends and Family members.

“SteamOS will be available soon as a free download for users and as a freely licensable operating system for manufacturers,” Valve writes. “Stay tuned in the coming days for more information.”

Steam still has 2 more announcements left in coming week and we are expecting some great news.Stay Tuned for more.
